To the two posters above me: the term "Bucket List" has been around FAR longer than 2007 when that film was released, or even 2006.

I remember people talking about having a bucket list (same usage - a list of things to do before you died) back in the 90s...

I love how popular media tends to define where folks give attribution. "The most popular place I found it must be first if I'd never encountered it before then!"

Not really a hard achievment, just time consuming.
Some quick notes:
Killing Rageface at the start will helps alot (If you don't already do that for your Regular strat)
Don't let Shannox get too far away from Riplimb, use Riplimb's run back with the spear to get some distance with a fast kite
You do not have to actually go up to Beth'tilac's room or even any of the trash to her room, Along the side of the cliff to her room you can get credit for being in "Beth'tilac's lair"
Enrage really shouldn't pose an issue unless you kite him too slowly.
That's about it, same stuff as the actual fight just a lot of movement and don't get hit by traps, ect

Just 4 manned this with 2 Blood DK's, a DPS, and healer. Just had everyone kill Rageface first at Ryolith's ridge and just started kiting. Had dps switch from Riplimb and Shannox so that Riplimb died right when Shannox was just above 30% and then burned him down at the Flamebreach.

We did this tonight, lol months behind I know. Guild actually completed it over a year ago but I missed the raid. Anywhoo...

Did it on Heroic 10man initial pull at the raid entrance, then up the the Bethilac cliff, portal and around to Alysrazor and Ryo. those three bosses were all cleared before hand. You'll want to use the ice traps to help reset Rageface's stacks and slow Rip every time he goes to get the spear back to help reset tank stacks. Rip died twice during our pull but he'll respawn in on heroic after 15-20 seconds. Just make sure Shannox is within 100 yards of Rips body when he pops back up or they'll enrage.

On our kill Shannox ended up being at 35% right around the corrupted walkway (staff quest boss) so we stopped DPS and focused on controlling the adds. Popped lust right as we got to Ryo's steps and burned him down.

Just remember, this fight is all about control, not DPS. I've seen guildies go in here and 4/5 man him for this achieve with good team work. no reason 10 reasonably competent raiders can't get this done.

The achievement criteria is a bit bugged. When you track it, it doesnt show Alys' room, but when you link it in chat, it is there in stead of the criteria of killing Shannox. What my guild did was started at the pathway to Ryolith's room, then tanked him to Alys' room, Balerock's room, along the wall of the pathway to Beth's room, and then back to the entrance of the instance and then downed him.

Easily solo'd by anyone with the following tips:

Before spawning Shannox: (Highly Recommended)

: Set your Achievement to "Tracking" so you can see the exact moment when you've succesfully covered a zone.
: If you have not cleared Firelands trash yet, I strongly recommend clearing the mobs along the entire northern edge of the zone (Mobs between The Ridge of Ancient Flame to the Path of Corruption), as well as the dogs who quickly run and patrol the paths throughout Firelands.
This will not only make the achievement significantly easier, but typically it's exactly enough mobs to spawn Shannox; saving you time.
If you have already cleared trash, it's OK, just be careful of the insane aggro range of mobs before the Path of Corruption (even at level 90).

Bucket List; Kiting Shannox the easy way!:

After clearing trash, mount up and wait near the ramp taking you to Rhyolith and wait for Shannox to come around to you.
When he's near, stay mounted, get close to pull him, but run up the ramp towards Rhyolith until the achievement tracker turns from red to white.
From there jump off the side, landing in the Shatterstone, kite him deep into the shatters tone (still mounted) so you can run a wide circle around him and get out with minimal to no damage.
Run to path of corruption, up the hill, and hide in the little nook until he's near (Don't worry, if you were fast, he will take awhile to catch up, but he wont reset if you get too far away)
Pop out of the nook as soon as the achievement tracker turns from red to white, then head towards Bethtilac (this would be the only point where Shannox may hit and dismount you, but you're almost done)
Important!: When going towards Bethtilac, you can skip actually going to Bethtilac's Lair by looking for the last little "lump / mound of dirt" or mini hill hugging the wall before the captured/webbed Molten Giant. Kite Shannox over the tiny mound and you'll receive credit without ever going near Beth's actual area!
Finally... head straight up the ramp where you entered the raid at (Flame Breach) and kill boss there!
From there, follow any of the hundreds of standard solo methods to down him; most notably... (see below if you need help killing the boss).

- If you messed up; Don't worry! - if you messed up, got dismounted, or missed a zone, just go back and get it! No need to reset the entire encounter. The boss's enrage/berserk timer is rediculously long; enough time for you to backpedal on foot around Firelands twice again.
- The only way to mess this up is to kill him without ensuring the achievement trackers all changed from "red" to "white".

- If you're dying to Shannox, make sure to clear your stacks JUST BEFORE finishing off Rage Face and Rip Limb by slowing/snaring Rip Limb when you hear "Fetch your Supper!", and then out-running them until stacks clear.
- If you're inexperienced, do this when Rage Face and Rip Limb reach 25% HP or so, because if Shannox catches up to you before your debuff falls off, you have to do it again. If you know what you're doing, it's safe to clear stacks literally at 1% HP then finish them off.
- Once Rip Limb dies, the only way to clear your debuffs is through extreme measures (Darkwater Potion + Nitro Boots + Warrior-charge x 2 the critters + Heroic Leap) etc; and Rage Face dying just adds to the damage.
- If you're in an actual group and level 90, but used this guide to essentially earn the achievement for everyone, just remind everyone of Rage Face's "Face Rage" ability, or else you will get pinned down and can not attack until you're broken out; then nuke the crap out of him!

I found this fairly easy to solo as a pet class by just keeping both dogs up. Just make sure you have Rageface targeted, and whenever he Face Rages you, use your pet to break it. Having it hit for 30k is nothing these days.

Then, once your pet has aggro on everything, you put it on passive, and run, healing your pet as you can. As a hunter, I used Master's Call on a tenacity specced hyena to get the hyena moving. I was beast mastery for the fight. Remember to hit your /petpassive macro again after you break the Face Rage or he'll just stand there hitting Rageface!

NB: Mend pet might cause you to pull *healing* aggro on the other mobs, in that case feign death/soul shatter/invis or something. As a hunter, I was rolling with which pulls some major healing, to compensate I used along with the talent + feign death to keep everything on my pet even though he was just running away from the mobs at most points.

Once I got all the locations on the list, I burned Shannox to 35%, killed Rageface and Riplimb, then burned Shannox with all my cooldowns, while keeping some heavy heals on the pet.

Should be easy for Warlocks...might be a pain in the ass for frost mages since your ele doesn't really have a threat presence.

Did the boss and the achievement for the first time today, just do it on your mount and run to the locations. Make sure you wait for the boss to reach it before you go to the next one. Achievement tracker didn't update during the fight but I still got it.

Just solo'd this on my pally. After having Rageface Face Rage me to death multiple times in Ret while mounted I switched to Prot and that prevented Rageface from Face Raging me which made it a walk in the (fiery) park. The whole encounter (pull, kite, kill) took 3 minutes 19 seconds.

Just in case you were wondering why you are getting stunned to death while some posts on here never mention it... Rageface will never do this if you are tank spec.

Take a tank alt, mount up, GG.

I assume nobody bothered mentioning this prior to 6.0 because "solo" usually meant "tank spec" anyway. But now that DPS can faceroll everything in Cataclysm, this is a thing. If you have no tank spec/level 90+ alt, you'll have to do it the annoying way by killing Rageface and running.

For the record, my achievement tracker did update.

This is how me (a Hunter) and my husband (a Paladin) did this:

He went into prot spec so that Rageface wouldn't Face Rage. Then he mounted up and led Shannox around, starting at The Ridge of Ancient Flame and going counter clockwise around Firelands ending up at Flamebreach.

I simply feigned death at Firebreach before he got into combat. This way the mobs stayed with him and I wouldn't get Face Raged. I called out whenever he got credit for an area and he moved on. Once he made his way to Flamebreach I popped up from feign death and we just focused down Shannox.

All in all, during the run he only took about 5% damage and it went pretty smooth. Don't get too discouraged if you're having problems, this was the fifth strategy we tried.

Side Note: We had cleared everything before doing the achievement.

Pretty easy for a 100 DK in blues as of now. Best way- aggro him while mounted and just run from area to area. BUT FIRST- you'll probably want to clear trash in your path to reduce chance of getting knocked off mount or taking to much damage.

I started at Flamebreach and went around counter clockwise to end at Ridge of ancient flame, staying ahead of him just enough to not get hit and keep him constantly moving. 5 minutes, tops- Boom 'cheeve. I took practically no damage this method, should be easy for any 100.

I soloed this as a 100 Feral Druid (ilevel 635).

I did not have any luck trying to mount, as suggested here. Rageface would stun me and eat me alive.

Instead, I tried a strategy I'd tried before - kill Rageface and Riplimb, then run for it. Naturally, as a Feral druid, I move fast and have self-heals. I still had 15 stacks of Magma Rupture by the end, but it was easy to keep myself healed. Then I turned around and murdered him.

So, I'd say skip mounting, try to have some sort of speed buff to get some distance on him, and have some self-heals lined up too. Use the in-game achievement tracker so you know when you get each point on the map, and good luck!

Soloed today as Beast Mastery Hunter.

I started at the Path of Corruption and killed Rageface so they stun would never happen. I used Glyph of Aspect of the Cheetah to use Cheetah as much as possible along with the talent Posthaste and Disengaged to stay ahead of him after that. I barely got hit by him this way and probably could have done it in any spec. I had a spirit beast for heals just in case, but I really didn't end up needing him.

Track the achievement so you can see it in your quest log on the side so you don't dally at one site any longer than necessary.

Done in 25H mode as a Prot Warrior (doing the mount method - and had to be in Defensive stance - Gladiator stance didn't avoid Face Rage) in my 630-ish Fury gear with only a 2-H axe, no shield. Only got to use 2 attacks, Heroic Strike and Revenge, as well as a couple survival CD's, but it was actually pretty simple to get this achieve.

For those attempting this solo at level 100: for some classes this IS impossible on Heroic difficulty. In Heroic, as many have mentioned, Rageface will attack you when you get in range with an ability that completely incapacitates you and deals substantial damage. Once this is done, even if you have a pet (frost mage, warlock, etc) that frees you, you will be dismounted and unable to mount again. From then on you'll be taking constant hits from Shannox and his dogs (who will continually rez if you try to kill them then kite Shannox).

Sadly because of the nature of several of the areas you need to lead him to, you cannot simply stay mounted the entire time. You basically need to 180 in the narrow areas, which brings you in range to be attacked by the dogs.

In short, this is an achievement best attempted in Normal if you're soloing.

Confirmed today, 100 Dk tank and 100 Hunter. Cleared all trash, placed way-point markers, mounted and went on my way. Careful not to get to far as he reset me where i first picked up.

They Achievement may not show in the actual achievement window itself ( The "Y" Key) but will show under the achievements/Quests window which for me is on the right side on the screen.

Bringing a friend with you is much better!

Did this as a Level 100 Survival Hunter, did the achievement on 10 man normal to make it easier. Killed both dogs as the stun also happens on normal. Glyphed Aspect of the cheater to make kiting him easier, and used Iron Hawk talent to reduce incoming damage. Much easier if you have a health pot with you, the ones from first aid work fine. I made a video showing how I did it that you can view here.

Just did it in normal 10-man with my lvl 100 frost mage and it was incredibly easy.

Step 1: Summon your water elemental
Step 2: Get in range of boss and nuke the two dogs with single target abilities
Step 3: Let your water elemental do a little bit of damage to the boss so it takes aggro.
Step 4: If you don't use Glyph of Water Elemental or if your water elemental don't feel like following you, put it on passive.
Step 5: Simply walk to the specific area required for the achievement, with your water elemental and the boss following you.

Your water elemental will probably die once or twice, just resummon it and do Step 3 and Step 4 again. If you haven't damaged the boss yourself, your elemental will retake aggro very easily.

Step 6: When it's done, kill the boss.

Blink and Blazing speed will speed up the process and make your elemental take less damage.
Keep Ice Barrier up at all time to prevent eventual damage to yourself.

Just thought I'd add my 2 cents.

Was having a little trouble with the running method. Shannox's debuff was too much for my 100 Surv hunter, and I didn't feel like reviving my pet constantly, so I used the "standard" tank method; taunt if stacks get too big you or your pet.

I pulled at the Path of Corruption and burned Rageface then Riplimb (with tank pet on passive) and started running. Once I had a few stacks of the debuff, would have my pet attack and taunt, put him back on follow, turn on Cheetah, and keep going. If pet was taking too much damage, use Distracting Shot and let his stacks drop off, then switch again.

I also kept getting teleported to Riplimb's body, which actually helped mitigate the damage from Shannox's debuff. A little annoying, and took quite a bit longer, but oh well...

I did this as a shadow priest (an alt), 10m normal

I mostly ran as I had to kill Rageface first (I first tried doing it all mounted but Rageface stunned me)

1) cleared all the trash that might get in the way
2) made sure I had a healing potion or shieldtronic shield with me (I had a shieldtronic shield in fact)
3) positioned myself at the bottom of the Beth'tilac's Lair path
4) got my mount
5) aggroed while mounted and run just up the path (just inside Beth'tilac's Lair area), popped my power word shield and killed rageface (dotting him first, just in case stunned me, as the dot does enough damage to break the stun)
6) ran down to (in this order): Path of Curruption, Shatterstone, The Ridge of Ancient Flame, Flamebreach
7) killed him

Throughout I kept popping Power Word: Shield and Dispersion on cd, and used 1 Shieldtronic Shield. I was at 90% health when I killed him.

Note that
- using a Power Word: Shield glyphed with Glyph of Reflective Shield will have Shannox help you in your job (he was at 20% health when I reached Flamebreach and I never touched him before that).
- tracking your achievement will help, as you don't need to go far into each area to get credit for it. Most of the target areas are just off the circling path at the centre of the Firelands (except Flamebreach, that's why I went there last).
- you can ignore Riplimb altogether
- you don't need to kill any of the other bosses.. just clear the trash mobs in the areas you have to reach.

SOLO HUNTER LEVEL 100 - 10MAN
------------------------------------------------------
It's really easy as a Hunter if you have a spirit pet at level 100. My favorite is the bear.
If you don't have a spirit pet go get one ASAP cos you're life as a hunter when you can heal yourself is a lot easier.

Prep

1) Clear as much of the main area as you can - take out anything near a point you'll be going to especially everything on The Ridge of Ancient Flame and shatterstone. You don't need to clear the spider's path though but the more you clear the better so up to you.
2) Put your pet on focus down near your action bar - so you can use spirit heal on it easy.
3) Enable Growl and put your pet on PASSIVE (if you don't do this it will kill Shannox and you'll have to wait another week).
4) Have the achievement on tracking and make sure you only have 1 or 2 quests tracked as when you engage the focus bars for shannox and the two dogs will push everything on the right down. IMHO best to only have this achievement tracked and nothing else.

The engagement.

1) Keep your eyes out to avoid any traps during this whole thing - this is the only way you will fail if you hit a trap.
2) Wait for Shannox near the The Ridge of Ancient Flame.
3) Kill Rageface with you pet and some shots if need be.
4) Target you PET - not SHANNOX and don't change this.
5) Kite Shannox and the other dog up the ramp till you see the achievement give you credit for The Ridge of Ancient Flame.
6) Now go to shatterstone again till you see it give you credit.
7) Now take him over to the Path of Corruption - same thing.
8) Now come out of the path and just hug the wall down to the spider and you'll get credit for that.
9) back to the entry way and once you see it all pop - turn round and kill the sucker.

Gotcha's

1) Keep your pet healed with either spirit heal or mend-pet.
2) Don't target Shannox at all - that way you'll not kill him by accident.
3) If you pick up stray adds while you kite don't be tempted to kill them - just kite them too.
4) AVOID WALKING INTO THE TRAPS.
5) I tried the mounted technique and it just didn't work for me. This seems like it will be slow but actually it's pretty fast once you clear the mobs.
6) The timer for SHANNOX is about 15 mins once he's up. If he goes away all the mobs come back and you can redo it.
7) If you feck-up you can just die and reset, just don't kill him.

As you do this you can put some distance between you and him every so often by facing him and using Disengage with a quick spin around - as your pet has aggro he will continue to follow you. A good time to use this is when he says"fetch-you-dinner" so save it till then.

I was always dismounted when trying to outrun Shannox so I had to resort to a fighting strategy. Some of the other Shadow Priest strategies listed here didn't work for me either, so I thought I'd share the method that did (pieced together from other helpful comments). Hopefully it helps someone!

TL;DR: This strategy does not kill Rageface first. The damage I was taking from angry Shannox after killing Rageface was too much for my squishy priest body to handle. Instead, I managed Rageface and his Face Rage with Shadow Word: Pain and ran like hell.

Optional
Set up TomTom waypoints first so you know the exact points to hit while waiting for Shannox to catch up to you after you start fleeing. This way you don't waste time looking for them, taking damage.

Strat

Turn on tracking for the achievement so you can tell when you've hit a point and can move on (it turns from red to white in the tracker).
Clear trash along the main road to prevent adds during the run.
This will likely summon Shannox. If not, kill more trash until he spawns.
Wait for Shannox and friends at the bottom of the Ridge of Ancient Flame path (the one that leads up to Lord Rhyolith).
If you're using the waypoints, you'll have to stand closer to the main road. It's too far away to pull from the waypoint. (62, 56) or thereabouts.
When Shannox passes, toss a Shadow Word: Pain on Rageface to pull the group.
RUN
Turn around and go up to the Ridge of Ancient Flame waypoint first, just up the hill from where you were waiting.
Then to Shatterstone right next door, just in front of the lava pit.
Follow the main road passed The Molten Fields over to the Path of Corruption waypoint.
Beth'tilac's Lair is next, right nearby. (You don't have to go up to the actual lair. There's a spot off the main road. The waypoints really help here!)
Then go down to the final Flamebreach waypoint.
While running...
Keep Rageface targeted and SW:P up on him at all times. This will break Face Rage whenever he happens to cast it on you.
You need to make sure that it has a tick left on it when you get hit with Face Rage or you're screwed. I personally recast SW:P with half the timer still left, just in case.
You may end up killing Rageface at some point with the dots, which is fine. Just try not to do it too early or you'll end up taking too much damage from Shannox. If Rageface is dead, you can switch to Shannox with the dots. Just don't kill him on accident.
Keep yourself alive with Power Word: Shield, Dispersion, Vampiric Embrace, etc.
As soon as you hit the last waypoint (Flamebreach), attack. Take out Rageface first if he's still up, then Shannox.
You must kill Shannox after all the waypoints are hit to get the achievement.
Desperate Prayer if you have to.
You can ignore Riplimb completely.
Once he's dead, achievement unlocked.

I hope this was succinct enough while still providing all the necessary info. Only took me one try once I realised SW:P broke Face Rage so it's a pretty easy strategy once you have it down.

Just did this on my arcane mage on 25man normal, I killed rageface on pull and just kited him around with double blink and blazing speed. Used Ice Barrier on cooldown, cold snap for a double glyphed "ice block" could be handy if you dont have troube surviving. I had 100 leech on a ring so I left some trash on my kiting path so I could leech while moving with arcane explosion.

Solo'd on 25H as 690 Affliction Warlock. (Using points from below posts. (Thx btw...))

Clear all trash left of the entrance and along the top path area. At some point during trash clearing Shannox will spawn. Stay away until you're ready.

Make a macro for these points.

Here is a screenshot to put an image to what is said below

Move your Voidwalker to the path in front of The Ridge of Ancient Flame using the "move to" command (on the pet bar).

Get near the little hill in between the The Ridge of Ancient Flame point and the Shatterstone point. So you're pretty far away from your pet.

Having Rageface selected, once they are near your pet, make your pet attack then immediately use the "move to" command and move him onto the The Ridge of Ancient Flame point. I put him as far up the path as I could to make sure. I had the achievement tracking on so I could see when it hit.

Once that one hits immediately "move to" the Shatterstone point and YOU start running down the path towards Beth'tilac's Lair. Keep moving because Shannox will still try and hit you with traps. While running, keep using the "move to" tool to keep moving your pet with you... basically "move to" your current location or ahead of it every few seconds. You're trying to keep Rageface from taking out your void too soon.

Once you get close enough you need to "move to" the Path of Corruption point which is the trail that goes up the right side (as you're facing it). Then move yourself towards the Beth'tilac's Lair point which is just off the path, sort of up the side of the mountain. (I highly recommend scouting these ahead of time so you can see where exactly the zones change.

By this point my Void died (RIP Zhar'zazt). Pop >Summon Voidwalker and insta-summon a new one (Yaay Zhar'zazt is back!). Rageface pounced me then. I force used my voids taunt and a few other abilities, shields up to reduce damage (Unending Resolve, Dark Pact not at the same time) (I was slightly panicking at this point lol) and broke free. Put as many dots on Rageface as you can, hit Soulshatter to drop threat, and keep running. If you've successfully gotten all the previous points, using the "move to" tool move Shannox towards the raid entrance.

I barely managed to get Shannox over the Flamebreach point with maybe 3% health left. I would assume my void meleed Shannox down because for the life of me I don't recall hitting Shannox with any spells but in my panic maybe i did. In either case if Rageface bought the farm with your final dots, just DPS Shannox down and you're done. You can breathe now... it's OK.

I would assume any class/spec with a pet could do something similar. But good luck in any case.

Hi,

I just did this 10man HC mode with my alt BM hunter Ilevel 686.
I've been watching some video's and reading some guides how to do this and everyone is kinda ooh this is hard and stuff so I began the encounter unsure.
Don't worry BM hunter or any specc hunter/class with a pet, it's easy as can be (with a pet) !

This is how I did it:

1) Prepare:
Take a defensive specced pet and turn off all his abilities except taunt and buff yourself a little. It's also easier if you have the talent "Posthaste". Clear out most thrash mobs and "track" the achievement so you can see if you have gone far enough in an area with the boss.

2) Starting point + boss pull:
Start at the Path of Corruption (Coords: 33,29) Use misdirect or any other skill that transfers your aggro to your pet.
Pull and kill his two pet dogs ASAP and dodge the boss his traps. let your pet taunt the boss but as soon as your pet has aggro and the boss adds are down, put your pet on follow via the pet controle bar. Your pet takes all the dmg now and you can take the boss wherever you want without taking dmg. Don't attack the boss yourself or your pet might start attacking the boss again !

3) Walking around:
If you want some more room between you and the boss you can order your pet to "move to" a random spot and keep running. Your pet will aggro the boss on that spot allowing you to keep some distance. Once you're confortable with the distance put the pet on follow again. Use Disengage when possible. Don't forget to put your pet on follow again once you've reached a certain area of the achievement. Wait untill the boss and your pet reach the area and then you can use the "move to" order again or do what you want. Kite the boss around to all the area's for the achievement. If you're not sure about where to go with the boss you can always watch this video from "mnaylor89"

4) killing the boss:
This was straight forward, just give your pet the order to attack the boss and start hammering him yourself and after that you should have the achievement.

You can do this on normal first so it's even easier and do the HC kill a week later for the Glory of the Fireland raider achievement.

note: for lvl 100 that are well geared: watch it when you hit the boss so that you don't kill him before you took him to the area's. Deselecting him after the pull is the safest.

I am experiencing a bug with this achievement.. I'm hoping someone can shed some light as to what is going on. First I did it on my 100 geared mage. I cleared all of the trash.. ran the way point macro.. practiced my run to make the way points disappear.. had the quest tracking turned on. Aggro'd the boss... drug him to all the points.. noticed that as soon as I aggro'd the boss the achievement tracking went away from my UI display. Wiped on purpose.. reset, started again.

Again as soon as I aggro the boss the achievement stopped tracking again.. went ahead and drug him around to all of the way points being sure to keep him at each point long enough so surely I was getting credit.. after going to all the locations I killed him. No achievement..

Next I cleared with my level 100 Druid bear tank.. did same thing.. as soon as I engage the boss the achievement stops tracking. I ran out and let him reset.. then I went in and killed beth.. figured maybe you need to kill one boss .. cleared all trash again.. set up way points.. As soon as I engage the boss the achievement stops tracking.. WTH?

Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

Tried it on 25H and 10H and 10Reg.. same thing happens...

Hi folks. Had a little problem. On a not well gear'd SPriest, I cleared all trash in the instance, then engaged Shannox; killing Rageface and Riplimb. While kiting Shannox around, was able to get 2 of the locations complete. But, during the entire kite, Shannox was losing health; until he finally died. I had no DoTs on him, nor hit him at all. Needless to say, I failed the achievement. Any ideas why he died? Thanks tons for your feedback, as I sure don't want to waste my next lockout.

After about 5 tries, I was able to do this solo as a level 100 Guardian Druid at iLevel 683. My main spec is usually Feral, but Rageface makes that impossible. Guardian and Bear Form while Rageface is alive is a must.

I made a macro that makes way points that you can follow. This is in reverse order so TomTom will show The Ridge of Ancient Flame first and you'll end up at Flamebreach.

I had Force of Nature spec'ed, but I'm not sure it did anything. I also had Ysera's Gift. I almost did Renewal instead, but I thought having the extra passive healing would be nice since it gets kind of frantic.

My Fight
To start, I stood just off their patrol path near the waypoint for The Ridge of Ancient Flame. I pulled with a Treant aimed at Rageface. I attacked Rageface until he died. Jagged Tear started to stack. Riplimb died before Rageface due to AoE.

Once Rageface was dead, I kited Shannox to The Ridge of Ancient Flame and then quickly to the nearby Shatterstone waypoint. The debuff was starting to hurting about now. I shifted to Cat Form and high tailed it toward the Path of Corruption waypoint. I started to put some distance between Shannox and myself. I popped Dash to widen the gap. This turned out to be key because I got out of range of his Jagged Tear cast and it fell off. Once I got to the Path of Corruption I threw out a Healing Touch and Rejuvenation. I shifted back to Cat Form and raced to the Beth'tilac's Lair waypoint. At this point I also noticed Riplimb was back.

There I noticed the Jagged Tear debuff was again getting bad again. This is where it got really frantic. I casted Rejuventation and decided to go back into Bear Form to weather to debuff better. I used Frenzied Regeneration as much as I could and all damage mitigating abilities like Barkskin and Survival Instincts. I even used a potion. I went as fast as I could to Flamebreach. I made it there with about 1/3 health.

At Flamebreach, it was now a race to zero health between Shannox and me. I popped all cooldowns and DPSed (in Bear Form) Shannox as fast possible. Once I had some rage built up again, Frenzied Regeneration started taking some of the edge off the Jagged Tear debuff. I won the fight with about 1/4 health.

Tips

Despite not getting pinned by Rageface, it was still a tight race. The Jagged Tear debuff from Shannox stacks and starts to hurt quickly.
DPS Rageface after the initial pull as fast as possible in Bear Form.
Rejuvenation is nice to have rolling as much as possible.
Shift to Cat Form and use Dash when running between Shatterstone and Path of Corruption. You need to out range Shannox so Jagged Tear can fall off.
It might be beneficial to squeeze in a Healing Touch or two around Path of Corruption and/or Beth'tilac's Lair.
Use Bear Form and Frenzied Regeneration to get from Beth'tilac's Lair to Flamebreach. Use damage mitigation abilities like Barkskin and Survival Instincts. Even potions!
Once at Flamebreach, remain in Bear Form and unload everything you've got.

Hello, I've tried this achievement a few times, on different characters, I died at first, then I've switched to a tank, unfortunately that one had low gear, then I've tried it again with the hunter this time, and worked out ok.
I clicked on "track" achievement, I wasn't sure why the objective showing were in red, I assumed that being an account-wide achievement maybe they've changed so I wont be able to get the achievement on any character on this account, I taught, -" Since I have nothing to lose...let's try something new"
I've engaged the dogs, killed them quickly, after that I put the pet on "passive" then I begun the "visit" the 5 points needed for this achievement, I had no problem with Shannox, he kept chasing me but he does very little damage alone, mostly dropped some traps, easy to avoid.
I've finished visiting the 5 points, on the achievement bar the objectives turned white(from red), one after another .
After that, I've killed Shannox in no time and BOOM, " Bucket List" was done, easy peasy.

Completed 25H on ilvl 710 frost mage.

I realize this was harder than it needed to be, but I didn't want to use my lockout on 10 man.

This strat is dependent on having Mark of Supreme Doom or any comparable amount of leech gear. You will use Riplimb and Rageface to heal along the way to the 5 places for the achievement. Try not to kill them as Shannox will enrage and dish out a lot of unnecessary damage. Focus on leeching from Rageface as he has way more HP out of the two pets. In 25H, a few Ice Lances every now and then won't kill either of them, but will heal for enough to keep your squishy mage alive.

For talents use Ice Barrier, , Ice Nova, Blazing Speed, also, use . can be used if you are having trouble with the dot, but I think it would be overkill.

First off, clear the entire start of the instance except for Shannox. After that, buff up as much as you can (runes, crystal, food, etc.). Make sure to put your elemental on passive. Making a /petfollow macro is recommended as well. Track the achievement to make it easy to see your progress.

Head over to The Ridge of Ancient Flame. Stay on the bottom of the ramp leading to Lord Rhyolith and wait for Shannox. This is a good place to start because it is very close to Shatterstone where Alysrazor is. That way you can easily get two of the places right away.

When Shannox gets close cast Ice Barrier, mount up, and aggro the boss. Quickly run him to the ridge and Shatterstone while mounted. When you get those two head NW past Baleroc's gate. You will probably get face raged sometime during the trip. When you do Ice Block out of it. Cancel Ice Block ASAP and use while still going NW toward Path of Corruption. Blazing Speed and will help get some distance as you dance around Firelands. Refresh Ice Barrier when possible. Once you go across the bridge you'll see two pillars stop and wait for Shannox to catch up to get the ding.

Then rush south along the mountain wall. If you get face raged use your pet to get you out or Ice Block if the hypothermia debuff is off. Ice Lance or Ice Nova Riplimb or Rageface to heal up. To your right you'll eventually see the opening to Beth'tilac's Lair, lead Shannox a little bit in there to get the 4th place.

On the way SE to Flamebreach, make sure your pet is following and not like 60 yrds away attacking Rageface or something. (I had this problem even though I had the water elemental follow glyph.) You'll most likely get faced one more time before getting there and need your pet to break it. Flamebreach is at the starting point of the instance, just follow the road down. Once you get the final ding, bust out all the CDs and nuke Shannox using pet to break facerage as needed.

Boom! Faced!

ONE SHOT FACEROLL NO STRAT needed except for coordinates where to drag Shannox' angry ass

BM Hunter, WoD S2 pvp gear full versatility (but who cares)/ same as S3 honor gear, spirit beast for self heal and glyphed/talented for max self healing

Killed the 2 dogs, put my pet on passive then proceeded to the following coordinates in a lackadaisical manner, lollygagging around making sure i kept 1/2 serpent on my ass within agro range, eating his AoE and attacks

Just soloed this as a level 100 Beast Mastery hunter (ilvl 675) with a spirit beast active, make sure to pick the spirit bond talent when doing this.

I did the following:
Make sure all trash is cleared.
Kill Rageface first, then kill Riplimb (he will respawn after a few seconds but just kill him again).
After that just keep kiting Shannox to all the needed places, due to spirit beast heals and spirit bond talent you'll be able to kite him forever and a day so if you don't know where to go just check your map.
If the name of the zone appears on your screen, that should be enough to have that zone ticket off. (beth'tilac's lair just requires running next to the cliff).

Tried as I did as a Frost Death Knight I could. not. do this. (25m Heroic/700 ilvl) After one too many attempts I switched to blood, read up a little about the rotation for a single target on another site and mounted up after having cleaned most of the Firelands. Aggro'ed Shannox, didn't get dismounted, toured the fiery inferno barely taking a hit or damage and the dispatched the infernal worm without even bothering about its mutts.

Got a tank spec ? Use it. It's then a matter of knowing where to go that's the biggest concern i.e. easy peasy.

Now to find a group for Only the Penitent.

Must be doing something wrong here.

Doing this on my druid and shannox can't touch me so zero issues with dmg but he keeps despawning and resetting.

Took him to Beth's lair 1st, got to her lair and he despawned and returned to his normal patrol. Tried again, took him to 2 other areas fine, then went to go to beth's lair and he despawned before I even got to the path.

I've been killing both dogs and although he keeps dazing me it's not an issue as mentioned above.. do the dogs need to be alive? I kept killing one as he respawned but should I leave the other? Is he getting too far away from the dog that's the problem?

The map in the video is very useful. I just completed Bucket List on a Demon Hunter, level 100, ilevel 691. I cleaned out all the trash, did the other bosses, and saved Shannox for last. I kept an eye on where he was, because he spawns before half the trash was gone. I wanted to make sure I didn't aggro him before I was ready.
Once I got him to the Ridge of the Ancient Flame, I contemplated taking out the dogs first, but figured I was high enough level that I could ignore them. I was right. It took about 3 minutes from aggro up the path to the entrance and working around per the video's map, to his ultimate demise. Took about an hour to clear out the trash mobs. Go in with a Traveler's Tundra Mammoth (Horde) or Traveler's Tundra Mammoth (Alliance), or the Grand Expedition Yak from Pandaria, because your bags will fill up *fast*.

So if you're like me and running your Glory of the FIrelands Raider in Legion, here's what you wanna do.

1. Kill all the trash you can see until you can hear a horn. Preferably you've already killed all the other bosses before this but it's not needed.
2. Kill both of his dogs instantly as they will slow you down with various spells and attacks.
3. Riplimb will respawn, just kill him again.
4. Make sure you have some sort of shield on you to prevent Shannox from casting his pummel-like ability on you which slows you down. The damage isn't really that much to worry about so I won't be mentioning it.
5. Make sure you keep track on the achievement. Once it's all white and completed you will get count for the kill, if it's red you wont.

You have to kill him to get the achievement, and you can't see in the tracker in which areas he was. Just make sure he actually gets there, not just you, and kill him after he gets to the last one.

Looks like it's currently bugged.

I went in on my shaman and spent an hour trying to complete the achievement, but several times Shannox disappeared and reset. Eventually I decided that this might be related to my constant killing of his dogs, so I just killed Rageface to make it easier and let the other one live. No luck. I was repeatedly teleported into the middle of the raid for no apparent reason, and eventually Shannox reset again. On the nth time I was finally able to pull him to all five of the areas, then when I killed him I didn't get credit.

I get that old content doesn't necessarily deserve a lot of dev time, but wow, this guy is screwed up!

Just a heads up for those doing this. Unequip your artifact weapons. I had Shannox die to a proc of Secure in the Light (artifact relic proc) even though I never targeted him or damaged him, only his dogs. Guess there's always next week.

I popped two flame shocks and took off running. Then Shannox dropped. Logs below. Just be careful of this going forward.

Some updates long after it is relevant to -most- but maybe this will help you.

a) As of patch 7.1 the arrow mods no longer work in raids/dungeons/etc. So just manually pull up a map with the spots (google it if you don't have one handy yet).

b) The easiest way to make the tracker work is to make Shannox your first kill. Summon by killing enough adds along the road. Then drag his butt around until all of the tracker entries go from red to white. No need to exit and reset, no worry that killing other bosses might mess up your tracker (I tried resetting twice last week, no luck, but doing Shannox first this week just worked).

c) Rageface is the annoying one you want to kill if you're a DPS/healer to stop the stuns. Any 110 can just drag Shannox and Riplimb around to the various spots.

Strangely, when I kite Shannox to the locations required, none of the Achievement 'locations' show I am getting credit. I have tried this 3 times now on two different toons, but I am unable to clear this last requirement for the Firelands Achievement. Sad

Totally soloable by a non-tank class/spec. Did it as elemental shaman, item level 239, level 110 (first week of BfA pre-patch), without using pets, special items, or talents.

Kill trash in all places mentioned on the map (e.g. one from the top comment)
Kill Rageface
Kill Riplimb
Start kiting Shannox -- if you track the achievement, locations become white as you visit them
Kill Riplimb every time it is revived

I did this on heroic (by accident), it took me only 4 mins 23 seconds -- was dazed most of the time, but was using spirit wolf form when possible. No self-healing was required. No need to kill any other bosses before doing this achievement (does not hurt either).

The Bucket List achievement as of this patch can't be opened in the achievement window to see the locations you're supposed to take him (no idea why, just is bugging out on mine), so, for those of you trying to figure out what's going on, you need to bring Shannox to five mini-zones in the Firelands.

Three of them are the boss mini-zones:

The Ridge of Ardent Flame
Shatterstone
Beth'tilac's Lair

You also need to pull him to entrance. It's marked on your map as:

Flamebreach

There is one additional place that is NOT marked on your map, named:

Path of Corruption

This one is roughly halfway between the markers for Beth'tilac and Baleroc.

You just have to pull Shannox until the mini-zone text goes up on your screen--you don't have to pull him all the way up to the bosses themselves. The other bosses can also be alive, despite WoWHead's description.

As mentioned in another post, the dogs will stun you if you're not in tank spec. If you're a DPS or healer class, you'll have to kill them and run about on foot.

Hey all! I just ran the Firelands dungeon for the acheiv. “Bucket List”. However, even though I ran Shannox to every location and killed him thereafter, I still didn’t get the acheiv. Anybody else have this issue or know why it happened? Thanks!

Just did the achievement now, my tip is to track the achievement in the quest log. Doing this will show all of the locations in red, and once you've visited one it will turn white. Make sure all locations turn white before killing the boss and you should receive the achievement as intended.

To help out anyone that might be confused or irritated of the face mauling: you can kill rageface. You only need to patrol Shannox around. I was running my Guardian Druid spec, in Bear form, and regardless what anyone said, I kept getting 'stunned'. Just kill Rageface and you're easily done.

In addition, track the achievement and maybe turn off any addon you've got if it's not showing.

This achievement serves no purpose other than to piss us off.

I kept screwing this up as a mage. I kept casting Blazing Barrier, thinking the shield may interrupt some of his stun effects, but apparently it does a bit of damage to attackers, which explained why he kept dying. When I finally did this, I just put up with all his stun effects. Took me probably the better part of an hour.

I'm Night Fae, so I used double Shimmer, Soulshape, and Flicker.

Just did this achievement, I think it is important to note that the achievement did not track in my log while I was kiting him around. Earlier post mention the locations should turn white once you visit them. This did not happen for me. Nevertheless, after visiting all of the locations I killed Shannox and the achievement unlocked. Make sure your location in the top right of your screen states that you are in the respective region before moving on.

Can confirm that the locations don't change while you're fighting Shannox as of this patch. I dragged him to all the locations with them still showing red, and when I killed the boss I got the credit.

Did this yesterday, my strategy was to kill everything else in the zone before pulling Shannox. Once you pull him, kill the dogs quickly and then take Shannox on the adventure around the zone. As always, best to do it naked if you can to avoid having equipment that procs an effect when you take damage kill Shannox.

Tracking worked fine for me, but one thing to keep in mind is that the locations don't change color when you get to the location, but rather when Shannox gets there, so for me, there was like a 3 second lag between when the location name came up on my minimap and when the location in the list changed color.
