They are located on the middle of the three boats in Venture Bay, above and below deck.

They are on the same boat as the Element 115 needed for the quest Seeking Solvent.

These do indeed give Booty Bay rep but only until 11999 honored. Once you cap you still gain invisible spillover rep to the tune of an alternating 2 and 3 rep for all the other steamwheedle reputations, no matter how far along you are with those particular reps.

As of patch 3.0.3 these mobs have a total of 10 spawn points and two of these can make the mob of the point evade.

At least 4 mobs is alive aboard the ship, which means that you can pull and kill 4 and another 4 will spawn immediately. Keep in mind that the two spawn points can bug, so if you can't find the 4th mob it may be stuck inside the rear mast. Ticket a GM and he/she should make it respawn.

* Edit: It is possible with some wallwalking to get to kill the mob that's stuck in the rear mast. Get to the point that you see on the following screenshot and start by the chair and wallwalk the mast, till you get to that position - don't stop walking forward or you will fall down.

Killed these with a friend, one of us outside and the other inside the ship. 1100 booty bay rep per 30 minutes and 550 with each other faction. Also got lots of frostweave, gold, several greens and a BoE hunter blue.

Doing Free Knot over and over seems to be faster rep but this isn't bad.

I currently am at Revered with Booty Bay and Ratchet, Honored with Everlook and Gadgetzan. I do not gain reputation with Booty Bay with these mobs, but do alternately get 2-3 for all the others. My other character who is at Friendly with the majority does get reputation with all of them at 5 each.

I believe that the reputation gained is directly influenced by your level (my main is 80), and that in order to get reputation with Booty Bay up to exalted you will need to grind various repeatables.

This is a much more worthwhile grind as the drops are far more relevant to the current environment we're maxed at, the spawns are almost instantaneous, and it's very near vendors and flight paths - not to mention the low movement area for maximized reputation. Zero downtime, which is a big plus.

EDIT: After posting this I realized that my definition of "efficient" may differ with other people. If you're looking to grind rep casually with a pretty good amount of greens, cloth, and greys to vend this is it (and my view of what is efficient). If you're looking for quick rep grinds I'd stick to Dire Maul.

For those of you thinking of farming these guys for Cartel rep (Ratchet, Booty Bay, Gadgetzan and Ratchet) I have some info for you

My toon is a feral druid in naxx25/ulduar25 loot, meaning 0 downtime whatsoever, but these mobs are spread out quite a lot and you will rarely fight more than 1 at once.
I farmed these guys for 1 hour (+ a couple seconds to finish mob I was fighting when hour expired)
These were my results:
318 kills (1590 BB rep, 759 all others)
36g 35s 64c from coin drops
7 green quality items
30 frostweave (yeah...)
50g 37s 78c worth of trash drops (inc food and bc pots)

Assuming simmilar results per hour, i can expect to farm 26 and a half hours to get to neutral for booty bay. To get neutral with all goblin factions I would farm for 53 hours.

In 53 hours I should expect to kill 16800 goblins, and pick up:
4,596g from coin and vendorables
371 green items
79.5 stacks of frostweave cloth

Deffinantly NOT the fastest way to grind rep with goblins

Bless the Blues! It seems that 3.3.3 was a little buggy, and they knew that there was a problem with respawn timings. Patch 3.3.3a has been released this morning. Seems to me that insta-respawns on this mob have been returned!

People were also complaining about the impossibility of completing Cheese for Glowergold and Rescue at Sea /. I assume those quests are now fixed, though I haven't tried them myself.

I recently grinded Bloodsail Buccaneers to Exalted, which bottomed out my Booty Bay rep, but only brought my Everlook, Gadgetzan, and Ratchet reps down into Hostile. So, I primarily needed Booty Bay rep which made this a viable alternative to Dire Maul.

In Dire Maul, with Free Knot and the Gordok Ogre Suit quests, I earn around 1900 rep per hour with each SWC faction. I decided to try this grind out since, again, Booty Bay is my lowest rep. In 1 hour of grinding as an 80 rogue with decent gear, while looting NO corpses (looting really slows you down..), and just running from one mob to the next, I clocked in at 3000 Booty Bay rep per hour and 1500 rep with the other 3 SWC factions.

As a Human, I am able to make use of the racial perk, "Diplomacy," in addition to the Mr. Popularity perk from a level 12+ guild. Add that to the Battle Standard of Coordination, to give an additional 15% rep per kill.

Killing the Venture Co. Evacuees while using the banner in this situation, gives me 6 3/4 rep points for Booty Bay (7 points for each of 3 kills, then 6 points of the 4th) and 3 1/2 points for the remaining three Steamwheedle Cartel factions (Everlook, Gadgetzan, and Ratchet).

If you are hated, or anywhere less than neutral with these factions, killing the Evacuees will help you gain rep on a slow basis. I wouldn't recommend going below neutral with these factions with any race other than Human, because of the added racial perk. Even then, the climb back up will be long and tedious if you are trying to go for the Insane in the Membrane feat of strength, or the Loremaster achievement and title.

Plus, now with WoW 5.3, Gleep Chatterswitch gives the weekly quest The Road to War which asks you to go to Durotar. The transporter next to him, however, takes you to Ratchet in the Northern Barrens. If you take this teleporter while less than neutral with them, the Ratchet Bruisers will kill you upon arrival. Your choices are basically - take the short route, be killed, rez somewhere safe and have to pay the repair bill, fly in from a nearby city (going direct to Durotar where the quest turn in is), or fix your rep with Ratchet.

The Venture Co. Evacuees spawn relatively quick. And you can get more in a shorter amount of time than their equivilant in Stranglethorn Vale. The Evacuees on the middle ship shown on the map above are the only ones you can really use for rep. At level 85, they can all be easily 1-shotted. More so at level 90. I would recommend an instant cast with no cool down on it. Just target, fire, and move on. There are 10-11 NPCs on the ship at first. For a Human as described at the beginning of this comment, that's 70-77 points per minute for Booty Bay. While the respawn rate is fast, its not immediate. You're working 3 levels of the ship alone. The average is about 61 or so rep points per minute after the initial clear. The other Steamwheedle Cartel factions are about half that. The clear time and rep per minute/hour is a little better if you are grouped with someone who is also killing them. One person takes the top levels, while the other takes the bottom levels. Go there, and you'll see why I'm using the plural. Its basically 2 levels, with each level split into 2 sections or pseudo levels or zones on a small ship.

You can use 3 people to do this, but 2 people is the saturation point. Anything beyond two is useless and adds to the frustration.

Spawn rate for these seems incredibly buggy, after 10 minutes or so they start to trickle down to one every 20 seconds or so and then after a few minutes more seem to just stop spawning for a time. Unsure what the issue is, but while they spawn at a full rate this seems to be the fastest goblin rep at about 2.5-3k/hr
